I love weekend styling. I am a casual girl at heart who LOVES a baggy jumper or cosy knit. So when it comes to weekend attire I am IN MY ELEMENT. River Island have just been killing it at the moment with weekend wear and I have been loving everything in their collection (holla at me if you also spend far too much time on their new in section). So I thought that I would show you a few of my favourite pieces that make for the PERFECT weekend outfit!
The Chunky Knit Cardigan
You cannot go wrong with a knit cardigan, and river island have hit the nail on the head with this grey number! This chunky knit comes in so many different colours (including pink, red and yellow) and have been sold out for SO LONG! I am so happy to have got my hands on this cardy because its just so stylish, so chic and SO BLOODY COSY.
The Platform Espadrilles
Two trends that I am LOVING for this spring (although excuse me where is the spring weather?!). Platform shoes are such a gorgeous trend at the moment and being a girl who is five-foot-nothing, they are a welcome piece to my wardrobe. Lol i need all the height I can get.
I LOVE how these platform are also bringing in the spring espadrille style because it just makes them so much more interesting and SO on trend! These trainers are just so comfy and so perfect for a casual weekend look.
The Over The Shoulder Bag
5 years ago if you had told me that over the shoulder bags were all I wore I would have scoffed in your face and picked bag up my MK tote. But now over the shoulder is EVERYTHING!! I love this black faux suede number for the weekend. It is such a classic bag and looks perfect with any outfit! I adore the gold hardware and find it SO DIFFICULT to find a small bag that actually fits my camera. So alleluia river island!!
I have been LIVING in this outfit recently (and not just at the weekends) and just adore how it looks. I cannot wait to get my hands on every single colour of that knit and I am even more excited for the spring weather to hit!
