The Ibiza Travel Guide

Ad – in partnership with Jet2 Holidays

I think it’s no secret at all that summer 2022 is the summer of travel – after 2 years of not being able to go abroad, visit new places or get away, the world has finally opened back up again and I, for one, couldn’t be happier.

As you may have seen on my Instagram I recently spent the most magical 3 days on the island of Ibiza – an island I have never visited before and fell in love with the second we landed. So I thought I would share my little Ibiza travel guide and tell you how I spent my 3 days in Ibiza.

Travel

Due to the sheer volume of those travelling this year, there has been a lot of nightmare stories recently of bad travel – but when it came to our journey it could not have gone smoother. We traveled with Jet2 holidays, which meant that we organised our flights and accommodation with Jet2. Flying out of Stanstead airport, we had such a great experience with the ground and flight crew as the Jet2 staff ensured our journey went without a hiccup!

Location

When it comes to Ibiza, it’s location, location, location. We decided to stay on the east side of the Island – an area that I had heard amazing things about. The east side is so much more focused on the culture of Ibiza, with amazing restaurants, lovely bars and gorgeous costal views, it was the perfect place to stay. Our hotel was in Es Canar – a family friendly, lively area of the east side and was just a stones through away from Santa Eulelia which was buzzing at night!

Hotel

In Ibiza you are spoilt for choice when it comes to gorgeous hotels and we stayed at Alua Soul Ibiza – a gorgeous adults only, luxury hotel that we absolutely adored. It felt like a little oasis as you stepped inside the doors and really gave that feeling of luxury within Ibiza.

The hotel itself was situated right on the beach front of Es Canar, which meant you were a stones through from the sea. But it also spoilt you for chose for pools inside – with infinity pools, splash pools and relaxing pools to choose from! The staff were so friendly and happy to help and the breakfast buffet was to die for. We went for bed and breakfast to ensure we could go out and enjoy the food culture of Ibiza – however there is also the option of half board or even all inclusive if that takes your fancy!

Day 1

Day one was a day by the pool and I couldn’t have been happier. A day soaking up the sun, jumping in and out of the water and enjoying everything that Alua Soul Ibiza had to offer.

We ventured out for dinner and landed at a beautiful restaurant called Marbella – a hidden gem along the Es Canar strip that served the best paella I have ever tried in my entire life. A definite must visit in the area.

Day 2

We ventured away a little and decided to visit Atzaro as day guests – a gorgeous boutique resort in the heart of the Ibiza countryside. After spending the day there, we came back to our gorgeous little area and spent the evening walking along the Es Canar strip and landed in a tapas bar – when in Rome!

Day 3

On day 3 we travelled a little further afeild and took a boat ride to the Ibiza old town – the Ferry port is opposite Alua Soul Ibiza and is super affordable, so a great way to venture further along the Ibiza coast. The old town was absolutely beautiful and a must visit if you’re travelling to Ibiza. We stopped for a lunch of salad by the port then ventured back to spend the rest of the afternoon by the pool at the hotel.

For dinner we got a taxi into Santa Eulalia and had the most beautiful mean at Chiringuito Blue – a gorgeous beach club and restaurant on the edge of the strip. I couldn’t recommend it enough to eat, enjoy some sangria and soak up the atmosphere of Santa Eulalia.

Luxury Holidays

I could not recommend Ibiza more as a location to visit this summer , I do find that the island can sometimes get a bad rep as people often associate it with partying, pool clubs and loud music but the east side of the island is a totally different vibe. Focused so much more on culture, relaxation and good food, it really is the place to travel to this year.
