2020 has been a bit of an odd one when it comes to fashion, if you didn’t spend 3 straight weeks in joggers and a baggy T-shirt, I’d be impressed. I think a bit thing that 2020 has taught us is to treasure the pieces in our wardrobe that we wear time and time again. From the investment handbags, to the comfy trousers we couldn’t be without – I’ve definitely had more of an appreciation for my most worn pieces in my wardrobe.
So I thought I’d share the pieces I love in case you’re looking to make a few more considered additions to your wardrobe.
The Ditsy Floral Dress
I feel like every summer the ditsy floral dress has its moment – and 2020 is no different. My dress wardrobe is currently bursting at the seems and the majority of that is ditsy floral numbers. I feel like they add so much colour to an otherwise very neutral wardrobe and are sooo easy to style in the summer months. Trainers, espadrilles, sandals, heels… you name it, it goes. Here are a few of my favourite ditsy floral numbers that I have been wearing time and time again this year.
The Monogram Bag
Something I’d noticed in 2020 is the return of the monogram bag – I feel like before 2020 designers were turning away from big branding. But this year has made such a return for repeat patterns and monogrammed bags. You guys know how much I adore my LV Pochette Metis, but I’ve seen so many more styles from loads of designers. I’ve linked some favourites below!
My Everyday Jewellery
I am not one who changes her jewellery up day by day, I much prefer having an everyday jewellery collection that I can reach for day after day. I always get so many questions about my jewellery collection, so I’ve linked my favourite everyday pieces down below.
The Padded Shoulder Tee
A trend that we saw come into 2020 is the padded shoulder tee, a trend I threw myself into whole-heartedly. I don’t often fall head over heels for a trend, but this one is very different. As a girl who loves a basic tee anyway, an addition to one with a cute styling element into my wardrobe is ideal. I adore the basic shoulder pad tee and have not stopped wearing them throughout 2020 (and I don’t expect to stop anytime soon)
