Well it’s official, we did it! One month down, 11 to go. January always feels like the longest month and, I don’t know about you, but is usually the month we feel a bit of pride for getting through. So let’s give ourselves a bit of a pat on the back for making it through the longest, darkest, coldest month of the year.
Before we welcome February, I thought we could have a little look back at our January favourites and the things we’ve been loving this month.
Slower Living
I have finally learnt to embrace a slower living life. You know me, usually I’m the kind of person that always wants to be productive, always wants to be doing something and usually has at least 3 multitasks on the go at once. But January really taught me to slow down and embrace living life a little slower – it’s okay to rest, it’s okay to not be productive and it’s okay to just BE.
Wintering
A new term I learnt this January is wintering – it kind of follows on from the slower living but is even more than that. It’s embracing nature around us, accepting winter for what it is and essentially, going into full hibernation mode. Wintering involves lots of cosy nights by the fire, cooking hearty meals that feed your soul and enjoying the joy of being home.
New year, New Hair, New Me
As much as I usually love the new me mindset, this year I’ve embraced it in a slightly different way – I’ve changed my hair! I’ve been wanting to make a big change for a while now and have finally taken the plunge to do it. Old money aesthetic bob, here we are. I’ve been absolutely loving styling my new hair and learning how to work with it through different outfits.
