How To Use Your Time Wisely With Your Blog

We’ve all been there, when you want to work on your blog and improve it but just don’t really know what to do. The amount of times I am aimlessly wondering around trying to do something, but not wanting to just be wasting my time. I mean how many times can I proofread each post (lol jk who actually proof reads). But you know what I mean. It’s hard owning a blog and wanting to put as much time and effort into it, but when you also are studying full time (or have a job or go to school) it can be so hard knowing that you are working on it but not wasting my time.

So its time to have a little rethink about how you are spending your time working on your blog and how to really utilise your time to the best efforts.

Plan Ahead

When it comes to creating content for my blog, I always like to plan ahead. Especially during these dark days- I usually try to take pictures in the morning when its light and then write the posts in the afternoon/evening. That way I am not wasting time when its light on writing up posts and can really utilise the day (and I guess nature).

When you’re in a rutt

I HATE it when I am in a rutt. I sit down in front of the computer and just stare at a blank cursor for 3 hours. NOT PRODUCTIVE. Whenever I get into this attitude I always try to get myself out of it by doing something else. I’ll take photos or edit pics or even interact with other bloggers. All of the above will further your blog and all of the above are a really productive way to spend your time.

Keep on top of your site

One thing that I think a lot of people forget about is managing your site. I always like my shop page to be up to date (I’m not always the best at that), I’ll update the ‘about me’ page or keep on top of the photos I upload. Keeping on top of your site is a great way to keep your blog rolling and upkeep it.

When it comes to owning and maintaining a blog, I find it SO IMPORTANT to use your time wisely and these little pointers are my way of ensuring that I do that! I hope they help you too.
