Well I think it’s no secret that I am very excited for spring and now that we’re in the last week of Feb, it really is time to start planning, prepping and getting ready for the new season. Now you know I love to do this in many different ways, but one way in particular that I have been focusing on is through my home.
Since moving down to Hampshire, I’ve been able to appreciate the seasons so much more as I feel like I am just surrounded by nature and reminded every single day the beauty of each season. That being said, one of my favourite ways to celebrate the new season and prepare for it is by bringing the outside in and reflecting the outer nature within my home.
That’s started with the tones and textures in my home – as I’ve added in more colour, more tonal looks and more natural materials. One of the biggest ways I have done this is through a new sofa – the biggest home renovation to date, I couldn’t be happier with the change! We’ve gone for the Cloud Sundae from Snug and woweeee it is comfy. So squishy, so comfy and so beautiful!
Not only that, but I have also been updating my shelving unit in the kitchen and really thinking about how I can add those tonal colours into the units. By allowing more colour, I feel like I’ve been super reflective of me as a person and my evolving love for nature and my surroundings.
The final focus of mine right now is the garden, I really do feel like a changed woman and now totally understand a love of gardening. We’re going to have a full garden glow up this year and I can’t wait to see what we can do with the space. I really do want it to be a little haven for us to be in throughout spring and summer.
I spent the last weekend doing a full overhaul of the garden and getting it prepped for all the spring planting and flowering – it’s a job that requires a lot of patience but my goodness I can’t wait to see how it’s going to look when spring is in full swing!
