Well my goodness me, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? I feel like it’s been an absolute AGE since I actually sat down at my laptop and wrote out a long ol’ blogpost. But I was thinking to myself recently just how much I was missing long form content – especially in the form of writing. So I thought now was the perfect time to sit down, have a bit of a catch up and officially kick back off the blog.
If you haven’t been keeping up with my Instagram, Youtube or Tiktok, you might not know that I have been here, there and everywhere this summer – from my amazing trip to Madeira at the start of the summer – to 3 back to back trips in September. The South of France, then Lisbon and then Italy. It was amazing, it was an absolute whirlwind but I won’t lie, I couldn’t be more excited to be home. I have no trips booked from now until next year and I could not be happier. I’m currently looking at my calendar and at least for the next few weeks it’s looking so empty – and I am so so happy to see that!
I feel like having this time off has come at the perfect time too – seeing in October and having a few weeks at home in autumn couldn’t be better. I know a lot of people love the feeling of September and use it as a new start and new time. I think it ties into that feeling of the new school year – the fact that we’re coming into a new season and it just feels like the perfect time for change. So I’m pushing that back by a month and I’m utilising October as my month for change, my month to start a fresh, have an autumn clean and review what’s going to be happening moving forward – how exciting!!
I’ve even been writing myself a little autumn to do list – from something as small as having my first pumpkin spice latter to hosting our first halloween party at the house. Let me know if you have anything on your autumnal to do list! I’d love some inspiration to add to mine.
