Dear readers, Lady Whistledown is back and bringing more drama, more gossip and lots more London love interests. And I, for one, can’t wait. With the new season of Bridgerton coming at the end of the month, there’s been so much interest and intrigue in what the new season brings, what we can expect from the entire cast and what’s going to be coming to our screens.
So here’s everything you need to know about the new season of Bridgerton.
The Colin and Penelope ship is going to grow
A relationship that we only got a glimpse of in season one, the Colin and Penelope situation is one that really left us wanting more. After seeing her pining for him as he spent so much time and emotion on Marina, all we wanted was to see them together. And that’s exactly what we’re going to get in season 2. According to Nicola Coughman herself, ‘People are going to be very excited for Penelope and Colin this season.’ I can confirm I am very excited indeed.
We’re going to get to learn much more about the King and Queen’s relationship
A relationship that was at the core of Bridgerton’s society, the King and Queen’s relationship is one that many of us wanted to know more about. After alluding to the reason for their marriage and introducing the question of race into season 1, it became clear that it was about so much more than that and love was at the forefront of the relationship. In season 2 we’ve been promised to see so much more about the couple and the bond that’s at the heart of the two of them.
The gossip, the gossip and nothing but the gossip
In the next season of Bridgerton, of course we’re going to be getting so much more drama, but what’s more, we’re going to learn more about how Lady Whistledown get’s all her gossip and where it always comes from.
A new family hits the town
If there’s one thing we’re all seriously excited about the new season, it’s the introduction of a new family. The Sharmas. The Sharma daughters are going to be the talk of the season and are going to be bringing so much more drama, love interests and excitement.
