You know me, I do love a good investment piece. I love putting my money towards something that I know is going to last me year and year again. But I too have bills to pay, and can’t exactly go spluring on designer goods every week (oh I wish). So knowing what are worthwhile pieces to invest my money on is so important. Cost per wear is everything, so if I know I’m not going to wear the item often, I won’t even look twice at it. As I’ve had a bit of experience knowing what have been good investments (and what haven’t), I thought I would share my wisdom to help you make the most informed decisions on your investment goods.
Sunglasses
Ohhh I couldn’t think of a more worthwhile investment than a pair of sunglasses. I mean you literally wear them on your face all throughout the year. Winter, summer, autumn, spring. I never find a season where I don’t whip out the shades and protect my eyes. Investing in a good pair of sunglasses is such a must for me – I prefer to go for a classic pair to ensure they won’t go out of style.

Trench Coats
I LOVE me a trench coat. They just never go out of season and can be worn in autumn and spring. Every. Single. Year.
My Burberry has already gotten its cost per wear down SO MUCH with how often I’ve turned to it, and with proper care I just know that it’s going to last me so many more years to come.
Trainers
Something I never thought I would hear myself say, is to invest in a pair of trainers. I always looked at designer shoes before and didn’t see the appeal. I mean you literally walk on them (and on god knows what). But after investing in a pair of McQueen last year, my mind has been swayed. Best investment ever.

A Classic Bag
When it comes to designer bags, investing in classic styles is just a must. After making a mistake on a trend bag which I have barely picked up, I’ve now given myself a golden rule: I will only buy it if I’ve been thinking about it for at least a year. It’s so easy to get caught up in a trend and think you’re making a good investment. Now I’m making so much more of a conscious effort to make investments into pieces that I know will last.
